KFE Microsystems is going green by building systems that are ROHS compliant, lead free and with Energy Star compliant components. What is RoHS and Energy Star?The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing of new electronic equipment that contains more than the agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl and polybrominated diphenyl ether flame retardants on the EU market.

Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

At KFE we will recycle your old computer equipment absolutely free. Your previous systems can either be rebuilt or recycled. This service guarentee's a complete wipe of all content with the department of defense standards. A certificate of destruction can be provided for a $10.00 fee per drive.
